The IES Pablo Neruda is located in Leganés , Madrid , about 15 km from Madrid. It is situated on the outskirts of the city near the industrial area of Nuestra Señora de Butarque. Target students are those at risk of school dropout and those who have been forced to quit labor market and want to recycle to come back to it.
The aims of our project, Shop Assistant in Rotterdam (S.A.R.) are to give the students the chance to work as sellers in commercial establishments in the city of Rotterdam and also to improve their language competence in English.
The activities developed by students are to work in the business with diligence, complying with the rules and procedures set forth by the company and coordinating when appropriate, will also organize and manage operations for storage and, will conduct sale of products and will prepare the documents generated in these activities.
The purpose and content of their work will be explained to the students before they start. During the performance, students will participate in the blog created for the purpose, and they also have to fill out the weekly cards about completed the work undertaken.
